Process Technology for Activated Carb
- There are commonly two methods of activation for producing activated carbon from carbonaceous materials; these are chemical and physical activation methods. The physical activation method is recommended.
- The method involves a two-step process that is carbonisation followed by activation. This method is simple and avoids the use of chemical activating agents. The anticipated process flow diagram is summarized in the figure below.
